Timing Your Visit

Whitstable is great to visit all year round, but your shopping experience can vary depending on the season. Summer months bring bustling streets and extended shop opening hours, making it an ideal time for those who love the vibrancy. However, if you prefer a quieter shopping environment, consider visiting in the spring or autumn. Not only will you enjoy the mild weather, but you'll also find that shops and markets are less crowded.

Before you set off, it's worth checking the opening times of the shops and markets you plan to visit. Many independent stores in Whitstable operate on their own schedules, which can vary, especially outside of the peak tourist season. A quick online search or a visit to the shop's social media pages can provide you with the latest information.
