Kiora is a charming weather-boarded family house built in 1904 and first sold in 1906 for £800. Nestled at the foot of Tankerton Slopes, it offers stunning sea views and a perfect blend of historic charm and modern comforts. Kiora is situated as close the beach as you can get (without getting your feet wet), just to the East of Whitstable Harbour. The house has had five owners with my parents being the fifth when they bought it in 1992.
Kiora features three generously sized double bedrooms and one twin room. There is one bathroom downstairs at the back of the house which has a toilet and a deep bath; a shower is fitted over the bath with a large shower head. There is also a separate toilet adjacent to the bathroom. All four of the bedrooms have wash basins.
Kiora offers a range of amenities to ensure a comfortable stay, including:
A terrace with seating areas and spectacular panoramic sea views
A sloping wooded garden that wraps around the house, offering plenty to explore and giving a “secret garden” feel
An open fireplace in the sitting room
Free Wi-Fi access
Parking spaces for 4 cars
A welcome pack with a bottle of white wine, bowl of fruit, milk and a freshly baked cake
Cot and highchair upon request
A larder with herbs and spices, sugars, oils, salt and pepper, flour and many other items to help you cook up a feast during your stay
A beautiful grand piano (Blüthner circa 1880)
A traditional country cottage style kitchen with modern appliances
Charcoal and gas BBQs
Washing machine and dishwasher
Fresh bed linens and towels
Absolutely! Kiora is a family-friendly property with plenty of space for everyone. The beachfront location and nearby attractions make it an ideal choice for families. We provide plenty of toys, buckets and spades, balls, scooters, and many other bits and pieces so you don’t have to bring everything with you.
